Sheree Ebanks Enriches her Clientele with her Treasure of Financial Knowledge
GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS, December 5, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sheree Ebanks, Director and Head of Wealth Management for Butterfield in the Cayman Islands, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in wealth management.
After growing up in the travel industry, Ms. Ebanks wanted to try something different. Discovering the world of finance, she fell in love with the depth and breadth of its offerings. She also loved knowing that she could make a difference and aspired to educate people about their own finances. For the last 31 years, Ms. Ebanks has followed that dream, and for the last 11 years she has headed wealth management services for Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited and provided leadership as a member of the board of directors. She is an expert in the areas of wealth management advisement, asset management and public relations, and is skilled in financial governance, strategic planning, marketing and human resources. Ms. Ebanks oversees business planning for trust services and handles marketing efforts for the company as a whole. As a member of both the board and senior executive team, she is tasked with driving profitability and business expansion and building a best-in-class business operation.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Ms. Ebanks strives to get youth involved in the performing arts and has worked with the Cayman Arts Festival to offer workshops and master classes for local school children. She is passionate in her belief that children can improve their level of academic achievement through the performing arts, and that the arts give youth an opportunity to choose a positive outlet for their energy.
Attributing her success to her hard work, Ms. Ebanks accepts challenges at all levels, and she has held many different positions throughout her career. Nevertheless, she finds it particularly gratifying to facilitate educational workshops on financial planning and speaks to the general public about the benefits of pensions and investing.
Ms. Ebanks is an MBA candidate at the University of Liverpool. She has received specialized training in anti-terrorism and anti-money laundering, as well as managing equity and fixed income portfolios. She has sat on local councils for matters of tax information exchange, IOSCO, OECD, CFATF, FATF, IMF and Basel ll. She is a member of CFA Institute and the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners. Ms. Ebanks plans to re-launch trust services in the Cayman Islands, in order to build an exceptional service. In both 2009 and 2010, she received the prestigious McCoy Prize Art Award for Amateur Photography.
