Paradigm Precision Expands its Mexico Machining Capacity
Supplier integrates Mexico machining content into its complex aerospace component production.
TUCSON, AZ, January 09, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Paradigm Precision is in the process of expanding its precision machining capacity in Mexico.
Paradigm Precision currently operates in 32,936 square feet of industrial space at the Roca Fuerte Industrial Park in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico, under the Tucson, Arizona- based Offshore Group's Mexico Shelter Plan. Paradigm will soon be doubling the square footage that it occupies in the industrial park in order conduct its manufacturing operations within 65,872 square feet of new construction.
The company currently employs 83 individuals at its plant. This number will increase proportionate to the increase in industrial space occupied after the expansion occurs. Additionally, the company has extended its services for outsourced manufacturing support, or "shelter," services in Mexico with The Offshore Group to 10 years from the date of the completion of the new building.
According to Mike Cowell, Paradigm Precision's CEO, "The need to expand our Mexico manufacturing operations was precipitated by our strategic vision to integrate Mexico machining content into our complex aerospace components."
Paradigm Precision was formed through acquisitions of Smith West Inc., Palmer Manufacturing Co. Inc., and Eurocast S.A. in 2007 and TM Industries in 2008. The company is a leading manufacturer of complex machined components for the aerospace, land based power generation and marine markets. In addition to its Tempe and Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico aerospace manufacturing locations, Paradigm Precision also has facilities in Massachusetts as well as in Tunisia.
